I used the 2 for 1 hat pattern and put it on size 6 needles instead of 9 so it will fit a little boy instead of an adult. It'll be great when the winter kicks in, although there was no hint of cold weather the holiday weekend this week.

Last Chance for Celebrate Color
Sadly, this is the last month Rachel at Stitched in Color will be hosting Celebrate Color, hopefully it will be back someday because I've thoroughly enjoyed entering as well as checking out my "competition". I've definitely added more then a few blogs to my reading list after fawning over all of the knitted loveliness on the entry page.
So, don't live to regret not submitting something for a chance to win cool friends and influence people, or at least take home some pretty nifty prizes. I'm narrowing down the possibilities to submit for myself.
Go now and show off your colorful side!

It's That Time Again
Time to vote!
My Candy Corns weren't selected as a finalist, but there are still some really awesome projects that need you to vote on them!
It doesn't take anymore then your time to take a look and hit the button so why not just do it?
What else are you doing on this cold, wet morning?

Celebrate Color With Candy Corn!
I am so excited about these little guys, and I think they're totally adorable. Plus it's really easy to make a bunch of them and put them all over your house.
I'm also officially submitting them for the Celebrate Color contest over at Stitched in Color. If you don't know about this contest yet, you must check it out. The prizes are drool-worthy, and there are some talented people showing off their handwork.
Fall was definitely the inspiration for these guys when I was trying to come up with an easy pattern to submit for my certification. It just made sense to me to make something holiday themed and what better than candy corn?
It's an iconic fall candy, plus I've used them to decorate around the house before, filling jars and vases with the colorful candy and putting them around the house.
So cute! I love them, and I'll share the pattern soon!
Update: pattern shared here.

October's Celebrate Color Prizes Announced
I am drooling right now, and seriously considered not sharing just so I would have less competition at the end of the month, but I got over my selfish impulse. I'm telling you, you must go over to Stitched in Color and see the prizes for October, they are fantastic!
The fat quarters and fleece offered up for the sewing categories makes me wish I knew what the heck to do with them, but oh the yarn prizes! Droolworthy is really the best word I can come up with. The bag and the needles and the yarn, I want to win first prize, and second prize too, and if there was a third prize I'm sure I'd want to win that one as well.
So, you all know what to do, get your needles of every hobby busy and get entered to win these lovely prizes! Thank you to all the sponsors for making Celebrate Color amazing. I hope I get selected to be a finalist, and you know if I am I'll be shamelessly begging for everyone's votes at the end of the month.
Wish me luck, and I wish you luck back!
