Sparkly Fingerless Gloves

As promised back in January, I'm finally posting the pattern for the fingerless gloves I made for my Mom for Christmas. I've now made a second pair so I can confirm that the size is good and if you wanted to make them a little larger I would recommend going up a needle size or two rather then adding stitches.

Purple gloves for Mom, blue gloves for Megan

Pick up eyelash yarn and work 2 rows of K1, P1 rib
Bind off and weave in ends.

Pick up 11 thumb stitches from waste yarn.
Pick up 3 more stitches at the inside of the glove (14 stitches)
Knit 4 rows
Pick up eyelash yarn and work 2 rows of K1, P1 rib
Bind off and weave in ends.

Embellish as desired.

I don't have a specific way I like to create the flower for the side. I found purple tulle that matched the color of the eyelash yarn so I used that to create the flowers for Mom's gloves, but I couldn't find blue tulle for Megan's gloves. The blue flowers are a modified version of the flower I've made before from my one skein wonders book. These gloves are so cute that whatever you add will look fabulous I'm sure!
